Just a quick update to include the 'Wreckers #3 promo piece I did for Nick and James. Can't say anything more about the series that hasn't been said before. I love it. While the story and dialogue are all top-notch, for me it's the behind-the-scenes stuff that's the most rewarding. Talking with Nick about this series last year in a coffee shop in downtown San Diego, you would have thought he had won the lottery he was so excited. My girlfriend still laughs at how energetic he was when describing this story. It's without a doubt, a huge milestone for him to reach and working with James is something he's been looking forward to. So being able to know the love he has for the project and seeing how this is almost like a dream come true for him, with each turn of the page, it's just so much fun to experience. It's the hearts and souls of two people on the page, and we all get to be a part of that journey with them. Very cool stuff, indeed.

Want more "dreams come true" stories? Check out Spotlight: Jazz if you haven't. Josh van Reyk and Shaun Knowler go all-out on that one, too.

If I could go off-topic a bit, it's funny you mention on the forums wishing that IDW would get the Power Rangers license. PR was actually my first foray into buying comics, and I still have quite a few of the original run of them from back when I was a teen. (I think one of them is the original run, anyway. I've got several series of them.)

Oh, I would love to have a "Power Rangers: Recharged" or something like that. Hell, the toys are back in stores, why not have the comic be out, too?

Me too. I'd love to revisit the old series in some way. With the new format, it seems like the series always ends just as I'm getting to like/know the characters. I got through the end of Time Force before my brain decided it just couldn't keep up. (Which is kind of a shame, as the writing in the series definitely improved as it went along, but...)

Great to see the update, Chris!

Ah, man alive! Those boys are so lucky! What I'd give to have a crack at writing for the official continuity! I'm looking forward to picking up the trade and seeing just how much love Nick, James and everybody else involved has invested in this project.

I love watching Nick fangasm over TF. It's always awesome to see you pros really loving your work as much as the fans do.

Because, man, do we fans love Wreckers. It's pure comic awesome so far. And the 5-page preview for #3 had me in utter stitches. :XD:

JP comics?! D0000000d. If "Redemption" takes place 13 years after the first film, are they going to address the events in JP2 and 3?

Wrecker's certainly has been first class storytelling, from story to art and everything in between. I'm anxious for tomorrow's exciting installment!

And yes, Spotlight: Jazz was executed well also. A very good read and one of my favorites.

Now about that "Ad copy for as of yet unannounced IDW title"...

Oh I know what you mean-- Nick's the biggest fanboy on Earth, in a very good and healthy way I mean! To see how passionate he is about the things he loves it's pure joy :D
